Preparing for your future!
It is a ridiculously exciting time for you right now. We can’t wait to celebrate with you during this season. Although this monumental moment of graduation marks a significant change to your involvement in our youth student ministry [ meaning we are kicking you out of weekly programming ;-) ], we still care deeply and want to walk with you and help in whatever way possible.
One way we’ll do this is through a really cool program we want you to participate in during the coming year. ADOPT-A-GRAD is a really simple idea… we match every one of you up with a person or family from our church who will pray for you and encourage you during your first post-high school year. The folks who will adopt you will most likely send you gifts every once in a while too (score!).
If you are interested in being adopted by someone in our church family, all you have to do is fill out the Adoptee Info sheet (or do it down below) and turn it back in to the church. We also need 2 good pictures.
•A current photo (Senior Picture would be awesome)
•A baby photo (So everyone can see how cute you were) (one of your Senior pics would be perfect).
*You can either turn that in with the form that was (hopefully) mailed to your house or email it to us.*
SAVE SOME DATES
•Graduates Dinner//May 5th 5:30-7pm
Join us for our very first annual Graduates Dinner. At least, I think it’s our first annual, a lot has happened here before I got here, and I could be wrong, but hey! It’s still going to be a good time!
Parents are encouraged to attend with their students, dinner is included.
We want to encourage you as you walk through this journey, and help prepare you for the next phase of life!
*If you can't afford the $10, please reach out to us, we want EVERY GRAD to be able to go!
•Graduation Sunday//May 19th Both Services
We will honor you in BIG CHURCH and have a “graduation gift” for you. We ask that you attend BOTH services, at least for the part where we acknowledge you, which is usually right at the beginning of the service, so you can leave right when it’s over!
Please make plans to be available on this date!
•Summer Camp//June 2-6th
You may be thinking, “I’m a senior, I’m not going to Summer Camp!” Well, we hope you reconsider! This is truly your “last hurrah” in our student ministry, and we’ll have some special “Senior only perks” built into the week of camp.
If you’re going on the Junior/Senior Mission Trip, don’t forget to reach out to me (Pastor Nick) about how to get the lowest possible rate for camp because of your involvement on the mission trip!
•Class of 2019 Text Group
As a student ministry we want to still be a part of your journey into college and beyond, so join this text group and we'll send you period texts and encouragements!
We won't send more than one per week, so don't worry!
